How to Write, Speak and Sell Your Food Products

Cuisine Critique is a one-day specialist workshop created to address the role of food writing and food evaluation amidst today’s fast-growing food and dining industry, evolving consumer needs and preferences, as well as the many factors that are shaping the future of the foodservice industry and our eating culture. The workshop also covers responsible journalism for new members of traditional and online media.

• Develop your written and oral communication skills. Learn to write balanced, credible and entertaining food stories and restaurant reviews. Waiters, hostesses and other front line service staff will learn to describe menu items to guests.

Christine Nunag is a graduate of the University of the Philippines Asian Institute of Tourism and Writers Bureau England’s Creative Writing Course. This former five-star hotel frontliner earned her certificate in Culinary Foundation Course at Enderun Colleges and tourist reception & guiding techniques from Islands Philippines (WOW Tour Guide National Campaign) in partnership with the Department of Tourism. A Doreen Gamboa Fernandez 2004/2010 food writing awardee, Christine now works as a foodservice journalist whose works have been published in F&B World Magazine, Reader’s Digest Asia, Appetite and other major publications. She provides custom services such as copyediting/writing for leading food companies, restaurant service evaluation, gastronomic tours and events, and has served as judge in regional and national hospitality/culinary competitions.
