Lake Apo, Barangay Guinoyoran

Awarded as the cleanest inland body of water in Region 10 (1996, 1997, 1998, 2002) in the Lake Category and entry to the National Level ( 1996, 1997, 1998), this Lake is a perfect escape from the pressures of work and worries in life owing to its pictureque hills and mountains and its blue-green waters still free from pollution. The inherent beauty of the Lake with chas-an area of 24 hectares and 85 feet deep strongly suggests a perfect getaway not only for the constituents of the City but for people from neighboring cities and municipalities as well. The City’s pride indeed!

Pulangi River

The Pulangui River will regain its glorious past as a recreational area being ideal for fishing and boating when the save the Pulangui River Program will be launched for implementation.

Mountain View College

Chosen as the City’s entry to the Regional Search for Healthy School, Mountain View College proved to be not just an institution, but also a perfect place for relaxation and nature study. Endowed with natural springs, falls, mountains, good climate, scenic landscape and magnificient view.

The Sayre Highway cuts right at the center of the City of Valencia to Carmen, Cotabato and as far as Davao City.

There are regular busses/vans plying Cagayan de Oro-Bukidnon-Davao and Cagayan de Oro-Bukidnon-Cotabato routes. Public utility jeeps provide service to commuters to and from the different barangays of the City.

It is 118 kilometers southeast of Cagayan de City or 2-hr ride by land; 169 kilometers from Davao or 4-hr ride and 234 kilometers from Cotabato City or 6-hr ride via Carmen, Cotabato.
