DOT Memorandum Circular No. 2008-01: Disallowing Entry of Non-DOT accredited Tour Guides in Hotels and Other Accommodation Establishments

DOT MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2008-01

In line with the Department's thrust of ensuring the safe, convenient and enjoyable stay and travel of both local and foreign tourists, all hotels and other accommodation establishments are hereby directed not to allow the entry in their premises of non-DOT accredited tour guides or those with expired accreditation.

All tour operators are advised to furnish DOT with the names of staff guides who may undergo training to qualify for accreditation.

Failure to comply with the above-mentioned order shall be a valid ground for the revocation or non-issuance of DOT Accreditation.
